An energy audit of a company contains a detailed energy consumption review:
The energy audit of the company is performed according to the Power Effectiveness Act of 20 May 2016, which requires periodical energy audits in large companies operating in the territory of Poland. This obligation results from the provisions of Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2012/27/EU. Neglecting this obligation may result in a penalty of up to 5% of the annual turnover.
The energy audit of the company will be performed on the basis of standard PN-EN 16247.
The company’s energy audit includes in its scope at least 90% of the total energy consumption in the company being examined.The result of the auditing works is a description of the actual condition of the examined plant along with an energy consumption effectiveness analysis. Under the study, an energy consumption structure analysis and a power management assessment shall be performed, along with indicating areas where it is possible to improve the energy consumption effectiveness. The report is prepared on the basis of current, representative, measured, and identifiable data concerning the energy consumption. By conducting the energy audit, the company will know options to save energy. The audit results are used for analyses and controls. The report from the completed energy audit is inspected by the President of the Office for Regulation of the Power Industry.
